Scarlett Johansson is an American actress and performer born in NYC the city of New York, on November 22nd, 1984. Her acting has earned her acclaim across a wide range of genres including period dramas, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson has a father who is a film director and an architect. She was raised by New York City. Hunter, her twin brother, and she were both the youngest out of four children. When she was just seven years old, she started auditioning for television commercials. In a brief time span her studies began in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Then, in the following years there was a Professional Children's School was opened in Manhattan. In the Off Broadway play Sophistry she worked with Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance on screen in North (1994) which was written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson starred next in Just Cause (1995), after which she made her debut in the film Manny & Lo - a tale about two sisters who are orphans who are able to escape. She next earned the attention of critics for her character as a teenage girl who been injured in a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention for her role as the cynical teenage outcast Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). Apart from appearing in the show she also has a successful stage actor. She has given some of the most impressive shows, like in Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith started her professional career in entertainment at a young age. As a child she discovered her passion for performing. Smith got her first job acting at the age of 6 years old, thanks to her parents. On a TV commercial Smith starred as Dannon Yogurt. Much like many other new actresses choose to pursue, she decided to build her skills in theater. She worked on various projects within the USA while she was making her debut on stage. She graduated from the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
